For more than 90 years, Harlem's Apollo Theater has been one of the great stages of African-American music and culture, helping launch careers and hosting everyone from Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday to James Brown, Aretha Franklin and the Jackson 5.

In this edition of Rooms That Rocked, Andrea Ho speaks with Apollo historian Billy "Mr Apollo" Mitchell, who shares the stories, legendary performances and backstage memories behind one of the most famous music venues in the world.
