RABAT, August 24. /TASS/. Washington’s economic threats are not being taken seriously by countries cooperating with Iran, Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said.

"Iran's trading partners, both in the media and through messages sent to us, have made it clear that they don't take these statements into account anywhere," he wrote on X.

According to the Iranian parliament speaker, "Americans know that no one buys their bombast." "The United States is not in an economic position to further restrict its relations with other countries," he argued.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced the launch of "economic warfare and isolation on an unprecedented scale" against Iran. The US leader also warned that countries whose financial institutions, businesses, airports, or government agencies support Tehran will face serious economic consequences from Washington.
