Tesla Abandons Solar Roof Tiles After Years of Shortfalls

Tesla has discontinued its Solar Roof tiles after informing installers it will no longer supply them, citing lack of financial viability. The dedicated webpage now redirects to conventional panels and the product has vanished from the Energy menu. Only about 3,000 systems were installed over nearly a decade against targets of 1,000 per week. The company shifts fully to standard solar paired with Powerwall.
