Midea’s strong market position in the HVAC sector is evident not only from the success of its portable split unit, the PortaSplit, but also behind the scenes: the company manufactures as an OEM for numerous partner brands, including Carrier, Comfee, Beko, and Electrolux.
All these devices can be integrated via the Midea Smart AC integration. This allows for fully local control without cloud dependency, while enabling practical automations: for example, automatically switching on a fan for better air circulation, matching cooling output to real-time solar PV production, or turning off the unit when leaving the house.
New Features & DiagnosticsThe updated version reads additional telemetry data from both the indoor and outdoor units - such as the operating status of the condensate pump. Furthermore, the polling interval can now be flexibly set anywhere between 1 and 30 seconds, allowing users to find the ideal balance between up-to-date data and low system load.
