Unlike many rugged outdoor smartphones, the Tank 5 Pro makes virtually no compromises in performance, as the device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400e, paired with 18 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash storage. At 33.8 millimeters thick and weighing 715 grams, the smartphone is thicker and heavier than four Apple iPhone 17 ($751 on Amazon) stacked on top of each other, but in return offers a massive 17,600 mAh battery that can be charged at up to 120 watts.

The 8849tech Tank 5 Pro is now available in the manufacturer’s online store, exclusively with 18 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for $1,199. The manufacturer notes that a launch discount was not possible for this product due to the steadily rising costs of storage.
