Insta360 launched the Luna Ultra globally on June 10, 2026. It is a pocket-sized gimbal camera that features a dual-camera system, comprising a main camera with a 1-inch sensor and a telephoto camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor offering up to 6x lossless zoom.

The company has now officially revealed the launch date of its new gimbal camera: the Insta360 Luna Pro. Unlike the Luna Ultra (curr. $769.99 on Amazon), the Luna Pro will feature a single camera. The Insta360 Luna Pro is set to launch on August 20 at 8:00 PM local time in China. Reservations are now open on Insta360’s official website.

The company has also posted a short unboxing video of the Luna Pro on its official Weibo account. It showcases the device in a white colorway and also reveals a detachable remote display. The retail packaging describes the Luna Pro as an "8K Gimbal Camera With 1" Sensor" and also confirms the Leica co-branding. So far, there are no details on the global availability of the camera.
