Minisforum has opened orders for the M2 Pro-358H, eight months after unveiling the M2 Pro at CES 2026. The cheaper standard M2, built around a Core Ultra 7 356H, reached buyers back in May while the Pro did not. It is listed at $1,439 in the US against a $1,799 regular price, and €1,519 in Europe against €1,899. US units are estimated to ship in late September, while European stock will leave Hong Kong in early September.
Only one configuration is orderable as of writing. At CES, Minisforum described the M2 Pro as scaling up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H, and confirmed a base option built around the Core Ultra 5 338H with Arc 370 graphics. However, neither one appears on the store just yet. The single available build uses the Core Ultra X7 358H, a 16-core, 16-thread Panther Lake part on Intel 18A that runs to 4.8 GHz. There are power limits of 65 W in Performance mode and 45 W sustained in Balanced and Quiet.
Memory-wise, Minisforum said at CES that the M2 Pro would take up to 96 GB of LPDDR5X at 9,600 MT/s — they repeated that same figure in March. However, the configuration now listed comes with 32 GB at 7,467 MT/s, soldered, with 32 GB given as the maximum.
Most of the other specs are still the same. Arc B390 graphics bring 12 Xe3 cores at up to 2.5 GHz, rated by Minisforum at 122 Int8 TOPS against the NPU's 50, for a claimed platform total of 180. Three M.2 2280 slots take up to 8 TB each, two at PCIe 4.0 x4 and one at x1. There are extensive netwroking options, including 10 GbE, 2.5 GbE, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, alongside three 40 Gbps USB4 ports. The chassis measures 195 x 195 x 47.5 mm at 1.39 kg, with a 134.9 W supply inside.

Most of my time goes into writing - and somehow it hasn’t stopped being fun yet. My work mainly revolves around everyday tech, gaming, watches, DIY modding, and the occasional piece on tech-policy chaos when companies and governments clash. I try to keep things simple and honest, without sounding like a product brochure. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering and an Associate Degree in English Studies from the College of New Caledonia in British Columbia, Canada. Away from articles and deadlines, life usually shifts to making music, taking photos, or trying to finish games that should have been completed months ago.
