Bill, CEO of Haystack Health, competed in the mountain hiking challenge at the 2026 Jackson Hole Classic and tied for first place for the second consecutive year. Both the 2025 and 2026 challenges ended in ties for the top finish.

The 3.8-mile course involved more than 2,700 feet of elevation gain. This year’s winning time was approximately one hour and 25 minutes.

Bill became CEO of Haystack Health in April 2026, bringing extensive experience scaling digital health companies and value-based care models. Haystack’s AI-powered platform helps health plans and accountable care organizations identify patients who may qualify for clinical trials, expanding access to advanced therapies while helping manage the cost of specialty medications.

Before joining Haystack, Bill served as CEO of Cylinder Health, where he led a virtual digestive health platform serving employers and health plans. His earlier career included leadership roles at Vivante Health and Virta Health, as well as nearly 12 years at Humana. While leading Humana’s $560 million Illinois market, he helped turn the business from a loss in 2013 to profitability in 2016. 

Bill also participated in the 2026 Jackson Hole Forum, where he joined a select group of growth investors, founders, and executives for discussions on scaling technology companies.
