Virgin Media O2 has announced the launch of two brand-new streaming channels, bringing around-the-clock entertainment to Virgin TV customers at no extra cost.
Dedicated channels for the hit comedy panel show 8 out of 10 Cats (Channel 250) and the popular quiz show Pointless (Channel 251) are now live. Available to all Virgin TV 360 and Stream customers directly through their set-top boxes, the Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) channels provide 24/7 access to the binge-worthy series.
Operated by Banijay Rights, the two new additions join an expanding lineup of 37 FAST channels already available on the platform, which includes the likes of U&Transport, British Screen Classics, and Inside Crime. The channels are integrated into Virgin TV’s Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), offering a traditional broadcast viewing experience without requiring separate apps or subscriptions.
The move highlights the company’s ongoing strategy to bolster its free, on-demand television offerings as viewing habits shift away from rigid linear schedules. Virgin Media O2 has committed to evolving its FAST channel lineup further throughout the rest of the year and beyond to provide viewers with greater variety.
“We are launching two brand-new streaming channels to give our customers even more of the best entertainment from Virgin TV, at zero extra cost,” said David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2.
“With 8 out of 10 Cats and Pointless, comedy and quiz show lovers have their favourite content available on demand and 24/7. The channels join our growing FAST programming on Virgin TV which ensures there really is something for every type of viewer to enjoy, any time of the day or night.”
