Jewelry is often an afterthought for me when packing, but for a recent trip to Paris I wanted to make sure I had some pieces that were special and statement making, but also versatile enough to wear with linen dresses as they were with jeans. I grabbed a few of my favorites from the shop and it turned out they were super comfy (read: I actually wore them on the overnight flight) and they paired well with just about everything…

Jade Watch Band Bracelet 

I wear this stack of gold bracelets from the 70s and 80s every day (a sweet 16 gift from my best friends, my husband’s ID bracelet and a bracelet I was gifted as a baby) – and the jade vintage watch band bracelet added the perfect bit of elegance, while still being unfussy and suuuper comfortable to wear all day long. Not pictured are the two women sitting next to us, casually chatting & eating a Philippe Conticini croissant as if there were nothing unusual about it. 🥐

Maillon Necklace

We had taken the kids to Paris when they were younger and it didn’t occur to me that they wouldn’t really remember anything and those were really just MY memories 😭. I had never done the Bateaux Mouches and it was a great way to orient them (and gives the best view of the Eiffel Tower BY FAR). My son nabbed this Maillon anchor chain from me for the ride (PS: I promptly took it back when we got home!)

We had eaten a lot of French food (cheese, bread, butter, wine) so it was a nice change of pace to hit up an Italian restaurant (yeah, yeah basically a different version of cheese, bread, butter, wine). But we enjoyed the bustling scene full of Italian ex-pats and some pretty yummy wood-fired pizza and pasta, nonetheless. Ammonite necklace in tow.
