Kristen Stewart has posed with her hand inside a jock strap for a very provocative Rolling Stone cover - as she revealed her plans to upset sexualized Hollywood stereotypes by doing 'the gayest thing you've ever seen in your life.'

The Twilight alum, 33, stripped down as she graced the front of the publication's latest issue in only the white jock strap and a black vest.

She starred seductively at the camera as she stood with her hand in her bottoms for the extremely racy shot.

She wore no shirt in the sultry image, donning just an opened leather vest that left her toned midriff on full display. 

The actress, who came out as queer in 2017, explained to the outlet that she hoped to 'send a message' and to 'flip the gender script' with the 'hyper-sexualized' cover.

'If I got through the entire Twilight series without ever doing a Rolling Stone cover, it’s because the boys were the sex symbols,' she said.

She declared that she now wants to 'do the gayest f**king thing you've ever seen in your life.'

'If I could grow a little mustache, if I could grow a f**king happy trail and unbutton my pants, I would,' she added.

'Guys - I’m sorry - but their f**king pubes are shoved in my face constantly, and I’m like, "Um, bring it in."'

Another image from the shoot showed Kristen posing in a black crop top and oversized jacket with her finger in her mouth. In a third, she flaunted her stunning figure as she raised her arms in her air.

Other shots featured her standing in lacy floral undies and a red T-shirt that said the word 'animal' on it, sitting on a sink in the same bottoms and a cropped Nike tank top, and crouching on the ground in tiny blue shorts and a top that said 'eat me.'

During another part of the shoot, the camera caught her mid-outfit change; she faced away as she lifted her top up over her head, with her bare back in full view.

One of the other images was a close-up shot of her face as she laid down on the ground, her head arched back and her mouth slightly open. 

Kristen, who previously had a very public romance with her Twilight costar Robert Pattinson, came out by jokingly stating that she was 'so gay' during the opening monologue of her appearance on Saturday Night Live in early 2017.

Now, she reflected on her sexuality with Rolling Stone, explaining that after getting made fun for showing up to school with her legs unshaven as a teen, she became obsessed with seeming 'normal and hot.'

'I was like, "Cool. I’m going to do everything I can to try and f**king figure out how to look like a girl and get these guys to like me,"' she recalled.

But she insisted: 'I never have felt like I have performed a femininity in order to reap its benefits in a way that felt like a lie.

'I’m very fluid, and I’ve never felt like, "Oh, wow, I was doing this lie for a long time in order to get jobs."

'That would be wrong. I have had a good time playing with all of the tonal qualities. But there’s so much room for success when you choose the girlie one. There’s no room for this other one.'

She also said that her sexuality never felt like a 'problem' when it came to her landing jobs.

'But that’s probably because of the sort of space that I inhabit and the parts that I’m attracted to and the filmmakers that are attracted to me and the audience that exists for those movies,' she added.

'Had I really wanted to carve out more commercial space and maintain that, I don’t know if that would’ve worked.'

After she was skyrocketed into the spotlight thanks to the success of Twilight, Kristen admitted that she struggled with severe anxiety that got so bad she had to be hospitalized after she found herself 'unable to unclench her first.'

'They were like, "She’s dehydrated." I was like, "I’m not dehydrated. I’m f**king flipping out," she explained.

'They gave me an IV and a mild sedative, and I started calming down and my hands started opening up.'

Over the years, she was also linked to director Rupert Sanders, French singer Soko, her former assistant Alicia Cargile, musician St. Vincent, and model Stella Maxwell.

Kristen, who is currently gearing up to star in a lesbian thriller entitled Love Lies Bleeding, is now engaged to actress Dylan Meyer, whom she started dating in 2019. 

The LGBTQIA+ romance movie, which is set to premiere later this month, is set in the backdrop of the 1980s and follows gym manager Lou (played by Kristen) and bodybuilder Jackie (played by Katy O'Brian) as they form feelings for one another after a chance encounter.

While discussing her character in the upcoming flick, Kristen explained, 'It was really f**king fun to be allowed to have the little, d**ey sister be the main protagonist in a movie.

'That’s never the main character in a movie. That’s never the one that you want to f**k. 

'I mean, that’s the one some people do, but not the one that you are prescribed to want to f**k.'

As for her upcoming nuptials with Dylan, she dished, 'We don’t have it in us to have a big wedding. 

'We’re probably just going to do it soon. We just are busy trying to make movies because they’re our babies.'

She also admitted that she wants to start a family with her longtime partner 'sometime soon.'

'I don’t know what my family’s going to look like, but there’s no f**king way that I don’t start acquiring kids,' she shared.
