Twilight actress Elizabeth Reaser has revealed she secretly tied the knot almost a year ago.

The 48-year-old star shared with Vogue that she married longtime boyfriend Bruce Gilbert last summer.

The couple wed in a small ceremony held in Italy in August 2023.

'Originally, we were making these huge lists of people to invite but we realized pretty quickly it didn’t feel right for us,' the brunette beauty from Michigan told the publication. 

'We decided to elope instead, with a couple of friends as witnesses,' she added. 

The star is best known for playing Esme Cullen in the Twilight franchise opposite Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

Guests in attendance at the nuptials included Elizabeth's close friends Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor.

The couple met in 2017 when they were walking their dogs in the same Los Angeles neighborhood. 

Elizabeth joked about their fateful meeting, 'We owe our dogs everything!'

Bruce popped the question in 2022 while they holidayed in Italy.

The proposal took place at what Elizabeth called her 'favorite place in the world,' Hotel Il San Pietro di Positano.

Reaser walked down the aisle to the sounds of a mandolin player and guitarist, arranged by her husband.

'It was so beautiful that we stopped at the end of the aisle and had an impromptu first dance,' Elizabeth shared. 

'I think it may have been the purest moment of happiness in my life.'

She added, 'It was the most intense experience. Something happened to us when we said the vows. 

'It did change everything. I was trying not to cry the whole time except for when I was laughing.'

Bruce is a composer who earned an Oscar for his work on the 2022 blockbuster Everything Everywhere All At Once.

In addition to the Twilight movies, Elizabeth has also appeared on Grey's Anatomy and in the movies Young Adult and Ouija.
