Every year, 1,500 volunteers show up to the FedEx St. Jude Championship. But you may never find a volunteer who exemplifies what it means to give time this week than Tina Rodgers.

Tina Rogers told Brian Sajdak she wasn’t going to cry. 

But when he pinned the Tri-Star award onto the collar of her bright blue FedEx St. Jude Championship volunteer shirt Thursday morning, the waterworks began to flow. 

Rogers, a volunteer of 26 years, is serving this week as a spotter on the hole No. 2’s tee box. The award recognized her outstanding can-do attitude and efforts to go out of her way to make the tournament better.
