Coventry City Council is strengthening its work to support repeat victims of anti-social behaviour (ASB).
This week the local authority was awarded ASB Pledge status in recognition of improvements made to its Anti-Social Behaviour Case Review process.
The Council is working alongside registered charity ASB Help and other local agencies to build on its Anti-Social Case Review process to support victims.
It has also been recognised for applying best practice when it seeks to stop behaviour, causing harassment, alarm or distress to members or any member of the public.
The Review process, which was known as the Community Trigger, gives victims of persistent anti-social behaviour the right to request a review of their case where they believe the response from agencies could be better.
Cllr John McNicholas, Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Cohesion, said: “I’m really pleased we have been awarded this pledge status. No-one should feel that they have been left without support when experiencing persistent anti-social behaviour.
“The ASB Case Review process provides an important safeguard, ensuring that agencies come together to review cases where victims feel more could have been done.
“Most importantly it gives victim a voice.”
The ASB Case Review is usually carried out by a number of local agencies.
ASB Help work with councils across the country.

Coventry has also recently secured Purple Flag Status for the work the city is doing to create a safer city centre.
