Interestingly, according to the recall report, the first customer concerns regarding this issue stemmed from Transport Canada on January 20, 2026, and involved a 2025 Ram 1500. Soon after, FCA US opened an investigation “related to a second-row seat belt buckle anchor which may not have been fastened to the body structure properly on some 2019-2026 MY RAM 1500 vehicles.” In July 2026, the issue was recognized and the recall was announced. Stellantis notes that the recall is not related to a part defect, but rather the assembly of those parts.
