Google has disclosed the system requirements for its upcoming Gemini Intelligence ecosystem. According to documentation found on an official product page, the advanced artificial intelligence features will not be universally compatible with all Android devices, as they necessitate specific hardware and software standards, including support for the Gemini Nano v3 model.
Minimum Specifications
To run Gemini Intelligence, mobile devices must fulfill several strict criteria detailed by Google:
Google’s developer documentation highlights specific smartphones that currently support the Gemini Nano v3 prompt API, making them likely candidates for Gemini Intelligence. This preliminary list includes the Google Pixel 10 series, Samsung Galaxy S26 series, OnePlus 15 and 15R, Motorola Signature, Honor Magic 8 Pro, iQOO 15, Realme GT 7T, and select models from Oppo’s Find and Reno lines, as well as Vivo’s X200 and X300 series.
Conversely, Google also published a separate list of devices limited to the Gemini Nano v2 API, which will not support Gemini Intelligence. This incompatible list features notable hardware such as the Google Pixel 9 series, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, OnePlus 13, and various recent flagship models from Xiaomi, Honor, and Poco.
Because the documentation tracks API support rather than final software integration, the ultimate list of compatible devices may change before the official launch. Observers note that these restrictions could limit the initial ecosystem considerably, unless Google adjusts its requirements for future hardware releases.
