Controversial Olympian Rachael 'Raygun' Gunn is 'being courted' by I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Australia producers to appear on their upcoming series.

The breakdancer, 36, soared to global fame for her disastrous performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which became the competition's most talked-about moment.

And Channel Ten is 'very interested' in signing the Sydney-born athlete, as they think she would make a great addition to the show, an insider told this week's New Idea magazine.

'Raygun would be the ideal campmate. The public will want to hear her story in the jungle. Love her or loathe her, she has everyone talking,' they began.

They added Raygun's unique style had quickly captivated audiences and that her addition to the show would be sure to draw people in.

'It's these viral moments and water-cooler conversations that IAC will want to capitalise on.'

Raygun's unique Olympic routine, which featured kangaroo hopping and saw her at one point slither across the floor like a snake, led to an onslaught of ridicule online.

Her routine also failed to impress the judges and earned her zero points, placing her dead last in the gruelling competition. 

Gunn made a surprise appearance at the 2024 TV Week Logie Awards on Sunday night as she alluded to the controversy.

In a surprise video tribute to the celebrity nominees, Raygun urged them all to 'pull out her signature moves' to celebrate their Logies victories.

She told the crowd: 'Australia, Raygun here. I just want to say congrats to all the Logie nominees and best of luck tonight.

'Please feel free to pull out of my signature moves in celebration. Have fun and look after each other.'

While Raygun faced huge backlash for her Olympics performance, she also garnered the attention of huge stars. 

The likes of Adele, Fatboy Slim and American chat show host Jimmy Fallon have all spoken in support of the athlete.
