SUMMARY: We used distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) on a pre-existing fiber-optic cable to locate small seismic events and image the rupture process of a large earthquake in the Marmara Sea.

SUMMARY: We conduct full moment tensor (MT) inversions to systematically identify and quantify non–double-couple (NDC) events, which are consistent with fluid-assisted rupture processes and complex fracture structures.
