Spa day, every day.

Some time in the past three or four years, I made it my personal business to get after my countenance, but since I’m still too lazy for gadgets and too cheap for medical procedures, it’s all been explored via good ol’ fashioned topical skincare. If you follow a similar pursuit, here’s a little update on what I’m loving these days.

The Colleen Rothschild Products I Use Daily (Layered With Affordable KBeauty Faves)

For those of you who have been here for a while, you’ll recall that Colleen Rothschild was my gateway to becoming a bit of a skincare junkie, and her products have been in the mix ever since.

Over the past few years, I’ve invited a whole gang of new skincare products into my routine, some more impressive than others. And yet, despite my deep dive into the glass skin world of Korean Skincare – I maintain that Medicube’s Collagen Jelly stuff will never not be in my daily lineup, it’s that good (and affordable!) – these Colleen Rothschild faves have continued to earn a space on my limited countertop.

This isn’t a sponsored post – just sharing products I genuinely use and love. I also just love supporting the Colleen Rothschild brand – they’ve been good to us, as a company, and Colleen Rothschild, herself, is a pretty badass lady boss, fellow breast cancer survivor, and a veteran in the skincare industry. In a space where trendy new brands are popping up daily, Colleen Rothschild has continued to deliver elevated, high-quality products that do exactly what they say without a lot of shouty fanfare. They’re a forever brand, for me.

Here are the six Colleen Rothschild Products I’ve been using regularly.

1) Prep & Hydrate Milky Essence Review

Kicking off with this Colleen Rothschild Prep & Hydrate Milky Essence, as it’s the newest to me. I’ve long loved a milky toner, so it was perfect that Colleen Rothschild sent this over just as my beloved ANUA rice toner was running out. Now, Colleen Rothschild doesn’t call this a toner, but it falls into place as a toner, following cleansing but before serums and moisturizers. It’s thicker than a toner, too – milky, as the name aptly suggests, but still very fluid and easily dispersed and absorbed.

Full disclosure, I’m a dual-toner girly, so I actually use this after my favorite gentle exfoliating toner (also from Medicube) but before my day or night serum(s). It’s gorgeously hydrating, truly enhances the visible glow and hydration of my skin, and makes it so that any products that follow slide on with minimal effort. It also allows my serums to go a longer way, which is a nice way to stretch a buck, too. My skin was also a little temperamental following some travel earlier this month, and I credit this with soothing and calming everything down. It’s an instant win.

2) My Favorite Glycolic Acid Peel Pads

Hands down, these Glycolic Acid Peel Pads are my favorite CR product. Always have been, always will be. They are the most clinical feeling product I use and are still gentle enough for sensitive skin. The exfoliating effect after just a few uses is crazy. Skin is glowy, refreshed, more even. I use them 1-2x/week in the evening (on that schedule, a jar lasts me almost a year!).

3) The Vitamin C Serum Worth The Splurge

I love a brightening serum, it’s almost always part of my routine, especially since I’ve been experiencing more little spots and pigmentation. Like other Colleen Rothschild products, this Vitamin C Brightening Serum is clinically efficacious – and it’s gotta be, because this one is a little more on the pricey side. I’ve used (and really enjoyed) other Vitamin C serums that smell like sherbet and feel silky going on, but this one feels like a potent powerhouse. I use a single pump in the AM, after toner/before moisturizer (I still consider this stuff from Youth To The People to be absolutely perfect for day and will always use the Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream at night) and sunscreen, of course.

4) The Cleansing Balm I’ll Buy Forever

This Radiant Cleansing Balm is the very first CR product I ever tried, and I’ll be using it for life. For efficiency purposes, I don’t always use it daily, but it’s my favorite way to clean my face when I have about 60 extra seconds, so I treat myself to using it at least once or twice a week. You massage the balm into your skin, then apply a hot muslin cloth (included!) over your face for a quick steam, and then use the same cloth and hot water to wipe everything clean. The process is so calming, truly a ritual to appreciate. And the smell of this balm instantly transports me. Like a spa experience, distilled into a single product. It’s also excellent at removing makeup, so it’s my favorite way to decompress after an event where I’ve been wearing more than usual.

5) The Eye Cream That Actually Makes Me Look Awake

A new-ish favorite! I don’t love concealer (I don’t even own any), but I do love the brightening effect of this Illuminating Tinted Eye Cream. The *tiniest* amount (like…smaller than the head of a map pin) dabbed under eyes instantly makes me look more refreshed and awake, and it’s as hydrating as any eye cream I’ve used. (It’s actually all I’m wearing in that selfie way up above – skincare only, including this cream, no makeup whatsoever. A miracle product.)

I blend it upward toward the inner corners of my eye, too, and it has the same brightening effect as dabbing a bit of pink highlighter there. Just pops. The price point on this one feels very worth it, too, since a little goes such a long way.

6) The Glow Serum I Wear Every Day

Blame the millennial in me, your girl loves a little bronze glow. I mix the smallest dab of this Ethereal Glow Serum into my daily moisturizer or sunscreen, and it adds just enough luster (without looking sparkly or shimmery). Combined with the tinted eye cream, it makes for a really radiant (almost) bare face. Also available in Champagne if you want more of a highlight effect.

Still My Everyday Favorites

I know we talk about a lot of skincare here on The Mom Edit, and it’s so fun seeing exactly what products everyone loves, and why. For me, who loves experimenting, puts efficacy over luxury and is still mindful of price point, these Colleen Rothschild products strike a really appealing balance and round out my routine perfectly.

xo,
Em
