Sit down and ask yourself, "what is my actual motivation for writing this piece?" A true effort at introspection will lead you to the dark side of yourself, and the lengths to which you are willing to go to placate that dark side. Journalism be damned.
Donald Trump has been a lover of sports since before he assumed the mantle of the 45th and 47th Presidnet of the United States. To this day, Trump golfs often and even became the first active President to atten the Super Bowl.
It perfectly coincides with Trump’s second term that he the United States is hosting the World Cup in 2026 and the Olympics in 2028. That’s not all, either. Now, the President is announcing a brand new sporting tournament that will be known as the “Patriot Games,” which will feature “one young man and one young woman from each state and territory.”

Fans were quick to notice that the structure is eerily similar to the one used in the popular Hunger Games movie franchise, in which young “tributes” from each territory compete in a gladiator match to the death.
People reacted to the announcement on social media.
“If not dystopian, why dystopian shaped?” one person wrote on Twitter.
“Moving closer to Hunger Games reality,” another person added.
“Well, that is certainly the way to get the press away from the release of the Epstein files story focus! Well done President Trump!” someone else added.
“Real life Hunger Games” another person wrote.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Patriot Games are successful or if they go as disastrously as Trump’s two terms in office have gone.
