The United States beat Senegal 3-2 at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium in the first of the USA’s two World Cup warm-up friendlies.

Sergino Dest opened the scoring for the USMNT in the 6th with Christian Pulisic assisting. Pulisic doubled the USA’s lead in the 19th with Pepi assisting. Senegal’s Sadio Mane pulled a goal back in the 43rd. The USMNT made ten changes at halftime, including subbing on Chris Brady who made his debut in the USA goal. An own-goal leveled the score for Senegal in the 51st. The United States retook the lead from a Folarin Balogun goal in the 62nd.

The USMNT returns to the US Soccer National Training Center outside of Atlanta in advance of the second warm-up friendly against Germany at Chicago’s Soldier Field on Saturday, June 6 (4:30pm ET – TNT).
