UNLV basketball coach Josh Pastner went from zero to 100 in the transfer portal this week.

His latest addition, 6-foot-1-inch guard Terrance Ford Jr., was announced Saturday.

With Ford, the Rebels’ rebuilding roster is beginning to take shape with three incoming transfers as Pastner finds his recruiting stride in his second offseason at the helm of the program.

Ford played his first three collegiate seasons at Arkansas State. He transferred last season to Tulsa, which ended UNLV’s 2025-26 postseason run in the second round of the NIT.

Ford wasn’t part of that competition, however, as he missed the entire campaign with a right arm/wrist break that required surgery, according to multiple reports.

In his last season played (2024-25), Ford averaged 9.0 points, 4.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game for Arkansas State.

That year, Ford was named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team and led the league in assist/turnover ratio (2.33).

The season before that, Ford appeared in just two games after missing most of the campaign with an unspecified injury.

Ford played in 32 games with 15 starts as a freshman, shooting a team-best 40.6 percent from 3-point range. He also posted four performances with at least 20 points that season.

Ford, a Chicago native, went to high school at Victory Rock Prep and led the team to the sectional championship game.

His commitment comes two days after he reportedly visited UNLV, evidence that Pastner is working hard to recoup his portal losses after seven of his players entered the portal, including leading scorer Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn.

Ford joins 6-8 forward MJ Thomas from New Orleans and Florida State guard Cam Miles as incoming transfers.

Rising sophomores Tyrin Jones and Issac Williamson will be Pastner’s only returners.
