The countdown to the US Open is on, and this year's Fan Week is set to be bigger than ever.

Now less than three weeks away, Fan Week has evolved from a qualifying tournament into a major attraction of its own. Along with qualifying matches, the expanded schedule includes the return of the mixed doubles event, featuring many of the sport's biggest stars as they prepare for the main draw.

Organizers say the week offers fans a chance to watch world-class tennis, enjoy interactive events and experience the excitement of the tournament before the official start of the US Open.

Nicole Kankam, the USTA's managing director of pro tennis marketing and entertainment, joined “Mornings On 1” to preview this year's Fan Week, discuss the expanded schedule and explain what fans can expect ahead of the tournament.
