All my insurance policies are via Generali. On MyGenerali account my car insurance has never appeared on the list of contracts. My financial adviser has stated this is normal! This year despite paying for renewal of car insurance I've received no acknowledgement they have received payment. Three times I've asked my financial adviser to investigate what has gone wrong. Over the weekend he said he will investigate what has gone wrong today!
In one email from Generali the title of the email mentioned 'Cashco' but after clicking the icon for payment the wrong policy number appears on the screen!
I'm becoming quite frustrated with Generali and think it's time to switch to another insurance provider.

I sympathise - Generali's admin & IT have become a shambles in the last couple of years!

That may not be possible. Unlike in the UK, you can't cancel an insurance policy mid term and find a different company (I believe). You are usually given a window of opportunity before your old policy ends to continue with the same insurance provider or shop around and find a new insurance provider. If you don't do anything then your old policy will auto renew and you are stuck with it for another 12 months.

Yesterday I received an email from financial adviser all has been sorted out but still I don't have a copy of the policy! In the past I downloaded the policy to my mobile phone!
I'm quite frustrated with the whole situation. As you mentioned Generali admin and IT has gone downhill past few years.
All other bills, I.e. utilities, we pay for we have no issues but for Generali ... a complete mess.
