A charity golf day has raised more than £2,000 for a regional cancer support charity.

The Kilnwick Percy Ladies' Charity Open, held on Saturday, May 30, at Kilnwick Percy Golf Club, raised £2,249 for York Against Cancer.

Ann Lister, KP Lady Captain 2026, said: "As Lady Captain of The KP Golf Club, I held a ladies' charity open golf day to raise funds for York Against Cancer.

"The sun was shining so it was a lovely day with lots of smiles and support."

A total of 26 teams of four took part in the Florida scramble event, with the club management donating the tees.

Members contributed raffle prizes, sold tickets, and baked cakes for a halfway house treat.

Charlotte Wainwright-Price, Communications, Marketing & Partnerships Manager at York Against Cancer, said: "The money raised will make such a difference, helping us to support cancer patients and their loved ones across the region."
