The debate over Alabama Public Television shouldn’t stop at PBS.
If roughly 90% of the programming comes from PBS, what unique role is Alabama Public Television serving?
Instead of spending taxpayer dollars on national programming, should APT focus on producing more local Alabama content?
Those are the questions lawmakers and taxpayers should be asking as the future of public broadcasting in Alabama comes under scrutiny.
