A prestigious Newton Fellowship was recently awarded to Vojtech Forejt to undertake research at the Oxford University Computing Laboratory.

This Fellowship is a joint initiative of the British Academy, The Royal Academy of Engineering, and the Royal Society. Its aim is to select the best postdoctoral researchers from outside the UK and offer them support for two years to pursue research at UK institutions, and afterwards provide additional 10-year support for maintaining connection with the UK. The success rate of the applications is about 7 per cent.
