Congratulations to the Department's Andrew Markham whose badger-monitoring research is today featured on the technology pages of the BBC website.
The BBC interview with Andrew explores the social life of the badger is gradually being exposed thanks to Computer Science. Many animals are tracked above ground but until recently what goes on inside their sets and burrows has been largely hidden. Andrew and the team at Oxford are involved in a project to track them using magnetic fields and sensor collars, that is giving scientists a unique look at these elusive creatures.
