Third year Computer Science student Sam Lanning has secured two grants and a free conference ticket for an article he wrote on Ubiquitous Computing
Sam's article (found here ) paints a picture of seamless technological collaboration across multiple platforms in everyday life; then proceeds to shatter our dreams telling us how today's technology companies simply will not work together to allow this.
Nevertheless he builds up hope again by explaining how there is a solution, and it might not be as far away as we believe.
His well-written article came to the attention of Oxford Computer Science Department, and St Catherine's College, who gave him £250 a piece and a free conference ticket worth 750 euros (roughly £600) from Qualcomm.
