Four papers co-authored by Oxford people have been accepted into the ACM SIGACT-SIGMOD Principles of Database Systems conference (PODS' 14).  PODS is the top conference concerning theoretical issues in  databases. 

The accepted papers are:

• Expressive Languages for Querying the Semantic Web by Marcelo Arenas, Georg Gottlob and Andreas Pieris.
• Generating Low-cost Plans from Proofs by Michael Benedikt, Balder Ten Cate and Efthymia Tsamoura.
• A dichotomy for non-repeating queries with negation in probabilistic databases by Robert Fink and Dan Olteanu.
• Expressiveness of Guarded Existential Rule Languages by Georg Gottlob, Sebastian Rudolph and Mantas Simkus.

PODS will be held jointly with the ACM SIGMOD conference in Snowbird Utah June 22-27, 2014.
