The Department of Computer Science is part of an exciting event taking place in Harare this summer. Lab Hack Zimbabwe challenges teams to design low cost laboratory equipment that works and can be built locally. It’s open to undergraduate students currently registered to a Zimbabwean university or college. We are looking for computer scientists, scientists, engineers and social scientists.

As well as having a chance to work in a team and win prizes, participants will have the opportunity to show off their designs, get feedback from academics and industry sponsors, network with other engaged students, and attend talks on Open Hardware, Responsible Design and Innovation, Intellectual Property, and much more.
