Saturday marked the 250th anniversary of the United States’ declaration of independence from Britain. As everyone across the United States grilled up hot dogs and hamburgers, we got excited for one thing — fireworks.

Every year, the hotel-casinos on the Strip put on an impressive display of fireworks for all to see. This year was no different.

According to Phil Grucci, Fireworks by Grucci participated in over 70 displays across the country, and Saturday’s show in Las Vegas was their biggest display.

On the Strip, the America250 Fireworks Celebration launched at 9 p.m. from rooftops at Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, The Venetian, MGM Grand, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Resorts World, The Strat and Fontainebleau. The eight-minute show was synchronized on radio stations KOMP-FM 92.3, 97.1 FM the Point and 98.9 HANK FM. The show featured coordinated red, white and blue lighting and there was be a 30-minute marquee takeover.
