Two people who previously ran .club are back at it, this time with .factory.

two competing .factory applications

USA Made in America Inc. announced today that it has applied for the .factory top level domain.

Colin Campbell, who founded .Club, and Michele Van Tilborg, who was president of .Club, are leading the new company.

Many domains, such as .crypto and .agent, are sure to have attracted multiple applications. But .factory is the first one for which two companies have publicly announced applications after the deadline this week.

Link Freedom Group, a portfolio applicant that applied for well over 100 domains, also applied for the domain. Other companies may have, too.

Update: .etc has also been announced by two parties, although it’s not clear if it’s a primary or backup string for Link Freedom Group.

Campbell talked about his plans on DNW Podcast #596 but did not disclose the string.

USA Made in America is seeking to raise up to $10 million in funding to resolve the contention set and launch the domain.
