They've been stepping in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as they enjoy the Easter holidays.

And John Barrowman and Rochelle Humes got more than they bargained for on Wednesday after an Easter Bunny surprised them live on This Morning.

The Torchwood actor, 52, was left so shocked by the unexpected guest that he nearly 'wet his pants'. 

John and Rochelle were reading the upcoming schedule on the award-winning ITV show when an Easter Bunny, who had been hiding at the side of the sofa, decided to yell and jump up.

The I'm A Celebrity star was left gobsmacked as he screamed and clutched his chest, leaving his equally stunned co-host shouting.

Realising they had been surprised by an Easter Bunny, John remarked: 'Oh my God, my chest! I hate you!', with Rochelle adding: 'That was SO naughty!' 

With the Doctor Who star adding: 'You are a bad Easter Bunny, I just think I wet my pants!'

However, this wasn't the only disastrous Easter segment on This Morning this week after John and Emily Atack had viewers in stitches on Sunday. 

The duo appeared on screen with chocolate smeared across their faces following a segment on Easter Eggs.    

The I'm A Celebrity co-stars were in a typically naughty mood as they hosted the ITV stalwart for the second time, after appearing on Friday.

The giddy pals were sure to brighten up everyone's day after they went to town on a number of Easter Eggs and were caught with silky milk chocolate all around their mouths.

The shot opened with Emily, 29, licking chocolate off John's face before the Doctor Who star attempted to deliver a piece to camera with the treat all over his teeth.

He laughed: 'Honestly, I didn't eat them all there's one left!' to which Emily responded: 'Oh, we ate them all.'

'You do realise we're going to have diabetes by the end of the programme from this?' he added. 'It's not good.' 

Bidding viewers adieu to the impending ads, John reassured fans: 'Dr Chris and the Queen of clean are next. We'll be back soon once we clean off our faces' before he launched at Emily and tried to kiss her with his chocolate covered face.
