I’ve been a Camp Rock girlie since its premiere back in 2008 and my love for the franchise has only grown since. Now, nearly 20 years later, Disney has decided to make a Camp Rock 3 which comes out on August 13 (today!) Not sure if you’ve been following the pre-movie hype, but Demi Lovato is slated to make a cameo in the film alongside the Jonas Brothers and we can’t wait.

Camp Rock 3 follows Connect 3 as they go back to Camp Rock to find fresh talent for their national tour after their opening act drops out at the last second. At Camp Rock, they find Sage (an ambitious new camper) who puts her all into it even if it means feuding with her brother, Desi. 

Alongside Sage and Desi, viewers will be introduced to bad-boy guitarist Fetch, cello prodigy Rosie, and a charismatic drummer (Cliff) who make the quest for the spotlight emotional and intense as they ponder the question if there’s more to life than winning at camp. 

As previously mentioned, you don’t have to wait until Friday to stream Camp Rock 3 when it premieres on Disney Channel. In fact, signing up for DIRECTV’s free trial gives you access to Disney Channel (along with hundreds more) for five days. It’s a great alternative to cable, as well as a money-saver if you aren’t willing to sign up for Disney+.

If you have cable, then you’ll be able to tune into Camp Rock 3 on Disney Channel on Thursday, August 13 at 8 p.m. ET. Don’t have cable? Camp Rock 3 will be available to stream on Disney+ starting on Friday, August 14.

Yes, the Jonas Brothers are returning for Camp Rock 3. You’ll also find other original cast members including Demi Lovato and Maria Canals-Barrera. Aside from former stars, you’ll also be introduced to a handful of new talent and up and coming stars including Malachi Baron, Liamani, Lumi Pollack, Hudson Stone, Orlando Lucas, Ella Lucas, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts, Sherry Cola and Devielle Johnson.
