The Archers were a class of eight torpedo cruisers that were relevant for appoximately fifteen minutes before being obsolete. Despite their short shelf life, the Archers were successful ships and popular with their crews. Designed to hunt down those pesky torpedo boats while sticking to bigger ships with their own torpedoes, they were essentially destroyers before destroyers were cool.
