How did you find PF?

Googled a specific question, browsed by successive links, and wound up here.

I am scientifically curious, an autodidactic polymath. Occasionally I come upon a question that pertains to a physics topic which I can clearly express but do not have the information or training to solve. For example, the question that brought me tonight concerns a simple structural engineering problem involving an aquarium stand. My actual interest in this case is environmental engineering and aquaristics. I just needed someone with learning in the field of strength of materials to provide a trustworthy solution. Tomorrow it could be something else entirely.
