Square Enix announced the 2026 run of the Moonfire Faire FFXIV event and showed off the Inflatable Mograft pool float Moogle mount we could earn for taking part. It will be joined by additional furnishing rewards that let us bring more pool floats to housing. Everything starts on August 12, 2026 for active players, which will now include Switch 2 ones.

The FFXIV Moonfire Faire is a recurring event in the MMORPG that always features a summer theme, which is why there are the pool accessories as the reward this time around. To get started, you need to be at level 30 and meet with Mayaru Moyaru the Lalafell at Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (X:11.5, Y:13.8). Talking to the character will kick off the “Earning Your Water Wings” questline. That is how you earn the Inflatable Mograft mount in FFXIV that makes it look like your avatar is lying on the Moogle-shaped pool float. You also get three floats like that to use as furnishings, which are the Lawn Bomb Raft, Lawn Chocobo Raft, and Lawn Mograft. The wall-mounted Moonfire Faire MMXXV and Moonfire Faire MMXVII  Advertisements and tabletop Moonfire Faire MMXXV Advertisement are also part of the rewards.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Moonfire Faire will run in FFXIV betweenAugust 12-26, 2026. The Evercold expansion arrives in January 2027.
