Los Angeleno Jackson Browne won’t have to travel much to perform live this year.

Due to overwhelming demand, the Rock Hall of Famer recently extended his brief residency at his hometown Hollywood Pantages Theatre from three to four concerts this fall.

Notable tracks that the “Take It Easy” writer has taken to the stage at past live shows include classic tracks “Doctor My Eyes,” “Somebody’s Baby,” “These Days” and, course, “Running On Empty” and “Take It Easy,” according to Set List FM.

“He showcased his still-pristine vocals and graciously led his seven-piece backing band…through two brilliant sets of folksy soft-rock and glistening retro pop,” The Marin Independent Journal reported in September 2025.

“This wasn’t a greatest hits set…but rather a chance for Browne to play what sure came across as the music that is currently resonating in his heart. Much of it had been written decades earlier…and yet it all felt so applicable to these times.”

In addition to the aforementioned concerts, Browne is also lending his talents ‘An Evening Honoring Steve Earle’ at San Francisco’s The Masonic on Thursday, Oct. 1.

Fellow headliners joining him include Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch with David Rawlings, Hot Tuna, Molly Tuttle and, of course, Steve Earle among others.

Other than four summer concerts — three of which celebrated the music from the films of Wes Anderson at the Hollywood Bowl — these are the only gigs the 77-year-old classic rock icon has scheduled this year.

All shows come in the wake of Browne’s son’s untimely November 2025 passing. Ethan Zane Browne was 52. The cause of death was an overdose on fentanyl, methamphetamine and lidocaine.

In August 2024, Jackson Browne dropped the four-minute single “Everywhere I Look.”

Over simple percussions and bluesy guitar, the 76-year-old singer-songwriter paints pictures of America and “everywhere he looks.” It’s a calming, reflective piece that works as a treatise on the state of the country and soothing background music.
