A MAN HAS been arrested after a hit-and-run collision in north Belfast.

This incident happened this evening at about 6.10pm in the Glandore Avenue area.

The man, aged 35, has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and associated driving offences.

He remains in police custody at this time.

A pedestrian, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are believed to be non-life-threatening.

A PSNI spokesperson said investigations are ongoing and have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to make contact.

The spokesperson added that police are “especially interested in speaking with anyone who might have captured any dash-cam or other footage”.
