Victoria Beckham has reflected on the World Cup after becoming an instant viral meme in an 'iconic Posh' moment. The fashion designer, 52, has been watching the games co-hosted by the US, Canada and Mexico, with her former footballer husband David, 51, over the past month. Daughter Harper, 15, and their two youngest sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, have also been spotted with them. Meanwhile, their son Brooklyn, 27, has been absent from Beckham gatherings since Christmas 2024. On Sunday, Spain lifted the trophy in the final match against Argentina after a deserved 1-0 victory. 

Victoria, who missed Spice Girls Mel C's wedding over the weekend, took to her Instagram stories with a sweet snap of her and David at the game. Alongside the image, she posted: 'I have loved our football tour! I love you @davidbeckham.' It comes after Victoria became one of the World Cup's biggest memes after she was spotted at England's quarter-final game against Norway in Miami. The nation was gripped when the Three Lions battled to stay in the tournament, with things off to a rocky start when Andreas Schjelderup gave Norway an early advantage in the game. Yet fate was turned around when Jude Bellingham managed to score an epic goal in first-half stoppage time. 

The crowd erupted when Jude managed to get one past Norway keeper Orjan Nyland, with David, Romeo, Cruz and Harper leaping to their feet at the sight of the goal. Yet Posh Spice wasn't as impressed by the feat, failing to even raise a smile as she sat alongside her hairdresser Ken Paves. The moment didn't go unnoticed by viewers at home, who were quick to joke on X (formerly Twitter): 'That priceless moment when you can tell how much Posh Spice loves football'; 'this photo here is awesome: everyone in the box screaming with england's goal; romeo getting almost [Expletive] celebrating; david standing up yelling and posh sitting there all chill serving face card serving pose'; 'victoria beckham is the greatest englishwoman who ever existed, no doubt about it'. 

However, Victoria just seemed to be warming up as she was later seen getting into the spirit by clapping along as England won the match 2-1. David later defended his wife after stand-up comedian Jenny Johnson's summary of the match after she wrote: 'There’s nothing like cheering your heart out for England from home, then they cut to Victoria and we see that classic Posh Spice smile! It’s so infectious! 'I used to think I got animated while watching sports, but Victoria blows my enthusiasm out of the water! Each time I see her I shout, “SPICE UP YOUR LIFE!!!!” because her energy is electric!!!' Commenting with a string of crying laughing emojis, David wrote: 'She was celebrating inside I promise her reactions were slightly slower than mine.' Victoria has been joining David at the games despite famously saying she wasn't a fan of football when she met him at a Manchester United match in 1997.

Ever the doting wife, Victoria ensured she attended every game she could, but confessed she didn't enjoy the sport because she didn't feel 'wanted' when she was pitch side. However, in recent years Victoria has had a change of heart after David retired and set up his own club Inter Miami. Victoria told the Financial Times in 2024: 'I never enjoyed watching football. I never felt necessarily wanted [at the matches]. I'm not saying this as in, poor me, but it was never the fun that it is now. 'Now, when we're in Miami, I feel wanted. I'm friends with the families of the players.'
