An investigation has been launched into the death of a Mexican beauty influencer who suffered fatal complications while undergoing a cosmetic procedure, according to local media.

Adriana Garcia, 30, died on Tuesday due to medical complications during a suspected cosmetic procedure at a private clinic in the Mexican state of Sinaloa, according to the Mexican outlet El Universal, which cited local reports. 

Garcia was the mother of a six-year-old daughter, whom she frequently posted photos with on her popular Instagram page that boasts nearly 50,000 followers. She also maintained a TikTok page with more than 45,000 followers. 

The exact cosmetic procedure she is suspected of dying from has not been revealed, and Mexican authorities have not confirmed the mother's cause of death. 

The Sinaloa Secretary of Health, Cuitlahuac Gonzalez Galindo, announced on Wednesday that his office did not yet have any information or details about the influencer's death, but an investigation has been launched, El Universal reported. 

Garcia was a partner with the luxury accessory online retailer Drop Shop, which confirmed her death on Wednesday in a tribute post on Instagram.

'Today we bid farewell to a member of the Drop Shop family, remembering fondly her human quality, her dedication and the moments we shared by her side. Your memory will always remain with us,' the post said in Spanish.

Garcia was a well-known internet creator in the Sinaloan community, according to El Universal. Her content focused on lifestyle, travel and beauty. 

The mother turned 30 in April. She revealed in an Instagram post that month that she had recently lost her father and grandfather. 

'Although this birthday comes with nostalgia and a huge emptiness, it also comes with a lot of gratitude. Gratitude for life, for the memories, all the love and lessons they left me,' she wrote in the post's caption, translated from Spanish. 

'Welcome 30... with a heart full of eternal love for you both,' she concluded the caption. 

After it was announced that Garcia died, the influencer's fans flocked to the comments of her Instagram page to share their grief. 

'I feel so sorry for her daughter sending lots of strength to the family,' the top comment on the influencer's most recent post said. 

'Fly high Adriana, you're already with your dad that you missed so much,' another user wrote. 

'Shocked. Rest in peace and much strength to her family and her daughter,' said a third. 

Dozens of other commenters wrote 'Rest in peace,' or commented emojis of doves and teary faces.
