Jerry “The King” Lawler has once again teased the possibility of returning to the ring, this time alongside longtime friend and rival “Superstar” Bill Dundee.

The Memphis wrestling legends are set to reunite with Memphis Wrestling in Tupelo, Mississippi, as part of an event benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

In a promotional video for the event, Lawler turned to Dundee and raised the possibility of them getting back into the ring. “Hey, I got one question. Superstar, do you have one more match left in you?”

No match involving Lawler or Dundee has been officially announced, so the comment could simply be a tease for the upcoming appearance. However, Lawler has previously made clear that he has not completely ruled out wrestling again. During an interview in 2025, Lawler was asked about the possibility of having another match and said the idea remained in the back of his mind. “I have not put it out of my mind — one more match in there somewhere.”

Any potential return would naturally attract attention because of Lawler’s health issues in recent years. Lawler suffered a stroke in February 2023 after experiencing what was initially described as a “serious medical episode.” He subsequently suffered another stroke, described as minor, in 2025. Discussing his health during the 2025 interview, Lawler rated how he was feeling at around six or seven out of ten. “I like to say something I saw on the news recently — people say 6 or 7.”

When asked whether he meant his health was at a six or seven on a scale of one to ten, Lawler confirmed it. “Yes, exactly. I’ll get up to 7, then go back to 6.” Despite those health problems, Lawler has continued making wrestling-related appearances and has never formally closed the door on competing again.

Lawler and Dundee are synonymous with the history of Memphis wrestling, having worked both as partners and rivals during one of the territory’s most celebrated periods.

For now, there is no confirmation that either man will actually wrestle at the upcoming event. Lawler’s question to Dundee, however, has once again raised the possibility that “The King” believes there could still be one more match left.
