Vitruvian Health Heart & Vascular has completed its first implantation of an atrial leadless pacemaker in Bradley County at Bradley Medical Center, expanding the advanced heart rhythm treatment options available to patients. The procedure was performed by Dr. Anand Kenia.

An atrial leadless pacemaker is a small device that helps regulate the heartbeat. Unlike traditional pacemakers, it is placed directly inside the heart and does not require wires or a surgical pocket under the skin. This minimally invasive approach offers an additional treatment option for certain patients and may help reduce complications associated with traditional pacemakers while supporting recovery and quality of life.

"Offering atrial leadless pacemaker implantation allows us to provide selected patients with another minimally invasive treatment option while expanding the advanced heart rhythm therapies available at Bradley Medical Center."

Patients who may have previously needed to travel to larger tertiary medical centers for this procedure can now receive this innovative treatment locally.
