GTA 6 is coming soon, and the internet is already preparing to vanish into Vice City for several months. However, one seriously loaded fan has found an even crazier way to celebrate the biggest video game launch of the year. Nine years after an armored SUV began terrorizing GTA Online, someone has reportedly ordered a real-world machine inspired by the vehicles that helped shape it.

This is not a body kit slapped onto an old Tahoe or some poor Jeep covered in fake bulletproof panels. The custom builder says this $1 million beast is currently receiving its final polish before making its public debut right around the same time as the GTA 6 launch date. Somebody had enough money to turn a virtual war wagon into several tons of real steel, which is kind of crazy if you think about it.

The HVY Nightshark entered GTA Online in 2017, looking like the perfect family SUV for someone whose morning commute regularly involves rockets, machine guns, and a five-star wanted level. It was fast, heavily armored, and built to survive the wonderfully stupid decisions that make Grand Theft Auto so much fun. If a Cadillac Escalade and a military bunker had an angry baby, it would probably look something like this thing.

The Nightshark may carry design cues from an entire gang of DARTZ vehicles. Its body resembles the Kombat, while its face recalls the Prombron Black Shark. Other elements have been connected to the Black Alligator, Black Snake, Black Dragon, and the hilariously named Kombat Aladeen Edition. The Latvian custom carmaker is not affiliated with Rockstar, Take-Two Interactive, or the Grand Theft Auto franchise, but they do build some pretty sick cars.

One undisclosed customer apparently loved the connection enough to commission this build as a physical answer to the Nightshark. The company will not identify whether its client is a person, business, institution, or supervillain with an underground volcano lair. What Dartz will confirm is that the SUV exists, costs well over $1 million, and is nearly finished. It also insists this is an original Dartz creation rather than a pixel-perfect Nightshark replica.

Dartz has not revealed the vehicle’s name, engine, technical specifications, complete exterior, or interior. That leaves plenty of room for wonderfully irresponsible speculation about armor plating, ridiculous horsepower, secret compartments, and switches marked “Do Not Press.”

The company describes the monster as an independently commissioned machine with its own engineering, materials, identity, and specially created interior objects. It is currently undergoing final finishing and polishing at company's facility in Latvia. It has plenty of experience building SUVs that look ready to bully a tank out of its parking spot. Its golden Prombron vehicles appeared in The Dictator, while officially licensed versions of several Dartz models have also appeared in video games.

This project takes that journey in reverse. Dartz built some badass real SUVs, entertainment borrowed some of their visual madness, and now a mysterious customer is paying Dartz to pull the idea back through the screen and hammer it into steel.

Founder Leonard F. Yankelovich explained that the buyer did not want the company to copy pixels. Instead, the customer wanted Dartz to build what those pixels were trying to become. His description of the company’s customers may be even better. According to Yankelovich, most automakers begin with market research, while Dartz begins when “an unreasonable person has a reasonable bank account.” That should honestly be printed on every brochure.

The GTA 6 Launch Date

Rockstar Games officially lists the GTA 6 launch date as November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Dartz plans to reveal its finished machine in Miami during GTA 6 launch week, although the exact presentation date and location remain secret. Miami is the perfect destination. GTA 6 takes players back to Vice City and the fictional state of Leonida, a wonderfully exaggerated version of Florida where chaos seems to come standard. A seven-figure armored land yacht prowling through the real Miami should blend in beautifully.

Millions of players will celebrate GTA 6 launching by downloading the game, ordering pizza, and ignoring sunlight for several days. One mysterious baller apparently decided that was not enough. They ordered a real Nightshark-inspired armored SUV instead.
