Mahindra Truck and Bus on Friday launched the BLAZO i-TRK, a new heavy commercial vehicle aimed at improving fuel efficiency, uptime and fleet profitability, with the company pitching it as a "Profit Ka Rocket".

The truckmaker said the BLAZO i-TRK can deliver up to 10% better fuel efficiency and potentially generate up to Rs 15 lakh in additional profit per truck over five years, compared with other trucks in the industry.

A key feature of the new truck is iFuelSmart, which Mahindra describes as India's first AI-enabled automatic drive mode in the heavy commercial vehicle segment. The system analyses road gradients, payload conditions and driving requirements and automatically selects the most fuel-efficient driving mode.

The BLAZO i-TRK is powered across its range by Mahindra's 7.2-litre, 320 HP mPOWER engine, which produces 1,100 Nm of torque across a 1,100-1,700 rpm operating range. The engine is paired with technologies including TurboMAXX, which improves airflow and low-end torque, and OptiFuel, an intelligent air compressor designed to reduce parasitic power losses.

Mahindra is also offering an industry-first 48-hour Uptime Guarantee, under which eligible customers will receive Rs 10,000 per day if the vehicle is not put back on the road within the committed 48-hour period.

The company said the uptime programme is supported by its network of service centres and Mahindra Quick Service Points, located within 75 km on national highways and 50 km on state highways.

The truck also comes with a Parts Supply Guarantee covering 250 critical parts across the dealer network. If an eligible part is not supplied within the committed 24-hour period, the customer will receive the part free of cost, Mahindra said.

Beyond the powertrain, the BLAZO i-TRK is equipped with iMAXX 2.0, Mahindra's connected vehicle platform, which provides fleet owners with real-time information on vehicle health, driver behaviour, maintenance requirements and fleet performance.

The system includes features such as remote vehicle crank inhibit, remote AC management, air-filter clogging alerts, DPF performance alerts, distance-to-empty monitoring and FleetSense reports. An optional two-way camera-based Driver Monitoring System can monitor driver recognition, seat-belt usage and signs of fatigue or drowsiness.

The company is also offering long-term mCARE annual maintenance contracts and extended warranty plans, including 6-year/6-lakh-km and 8-year/8-lakh-km options, while extended warranty coverage of 6,000-10,000 hours is available for tippers.

The truck also comes with factory-engineered provisions for an aero kit, which Mahindra said will make field installation easier and help improve aerodynamic efficiency while reducing the risk of cabin leakages, rusting and structural damage associated with aftermarket modifications.

The launch comes as Mahindra continues to expand its technology-led commercial vehicle portfolio, with the company positioning the BLAZO i-TRK less as a standalone truck and more as an integrated fleet-management and profitability proposition.
