SEVASTOPOL, August 13. /TASS/. A serviceman of the Russian Defense Ministry died in Sevastopol as a result of a bombing carried out by a Russian man who was apparently working for Ukraine, who was detained, the FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol told journalists.

"The FSB of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has detained a citizen of the Russian Federation, suspected of a bombing in the city of Sevastopol that killed a serviceman of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. As a result of the explosion, the man sustained injuries that led to his death. It has been established that the detainee, born in 1994, committed the explosion on the instructions of Ukrainian special services," the statement reads.

Operational-search measures and investigative actions are currently being conducted, and the issue of opening a criminal case is being decided.
