The legendary performer, 81, was forced to call off all upcoming dates on his One Last Time tour after undergoing a routine coronary stent procedure, Stewart’s rep said in a statement to People.

“Doctors are pleased with his recovery, and Rod is doing very well and has returned to his normal daily activities,” his rep said.

“On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage,” the statement continued. “Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.”

The “Maggie May” crooner shared his own message with fans on his Instagram Stories, assuring them he is “already feeling better and very much on the mend.”

Stewart went on to thank the doctor, nurses and others who have “taken such wonderful care” of him before vowing he would be back performing in no time.

The “Baby Jane” singer was scheduled to perform at Ohio’s Riverbend Music Center last Sunday but abruptly cancelled the show over an “unforeseen but minor medical procedure,” according to a statement.

The raspy rocker then cancelled the remaining shows, which included the Morton Amphitheater in Kansas City this weekend, Las Vegas’ Colosseum at Caesars Palace next week, followed by gigs in Minnesota, Illinois, Colorado, and a series of shows in Mexico next month.

Stewart faced backlash for attending a World Cup game immediately following one cancelled show.

The show must go on?

And during his June 19 show in Utah, the British singer-songwriter — who has been touring for over 60 years as both a solo act and member of the rock band The Faces — was seen using an oxygen tank and mask after finishing a song.

The One Last Time tour was set to wrap later this year, but when he announced the shows, he insisted he had no intention of retiring.

“This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire,” Stewart wrote on Instagram in 2024, when he announced his farewell shows. “I love what I do, and I do what I love.”
