The luxury giant behind Coach and Kate Spade is to shed further light on the appetite for high-end goods.

Tapestry, whose Coach bags are popular with stars including Jennifer Lopez (pictured), reports figures on Thursday.

Analysts expect it to have made £1.4billion in sales in the three months to the end of June – 8.6 per cent up year-on-year.

Coach owner Tapestry expects to report higher sales in the three months to June

Coach’s designs, which sell for between £250 and £625, are seen as an ‘entry-level’ luxury and are popular with younger shoppers.

Rivals Hermes and LVMH have said that the war in the Middle East has hit sales in the UAE but investors will seek signs of improvements at Kate Spade. Revenue is expected to be down 9 per cent from £187million to £171million, while Coach’s is forecast to be £1.2billion, compared to £1.06billion.
