68th Annual Attica Championship Rodeo Draws Record Crowds and Sell-Out Performances

The 68th Annual Attica Championship Rodeo concluded this past weekend and once again appeared to be a success for the community. The four-day event is typically attended by between 10,000 and 15,000 spectators each year across its five scheduled performances. This year saw particularly high demand, with both Friday and Saturday night shows moving to online-only ticket sales due to capacity limits. The Saturday night performance (August 8) was an official sell-out, as fans filled the stands under clear skies to watch the sanctioned APRA (American Professional Rodeo Association) events.The rodeo featured several kid-focused activities, including the popular Mutton Busting (sheep riding) and calf scrambles, allowing children to participate directly in the arena.This year’s entertainment included trick riders Haylee Jo Gartz, Courtney Jean Schum, and Lexee Jo Barvian, whose high-energy stunts were a highlight for younger audiences.To view or purchase photos, click here.
